Raimatang

The Buxa Tiger Reserve’s border includes the little forest village of Raimatang, which is bordered by massive, lush hills of Bhutan. Its mixture of forests, hills, rivers, and tea gardens is what gives it its attractiveness.

Its location on the western side of the Sinchula Hills only contributes to its seclusion. For those who enjoy the outdoors, wildlife, and wish to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, it is the ideal getaway.

It is situated in Western Buxa, a section of India’s northern West Bengal province known as the Dooars. The distance from Alipurduar City is about 48 kilometers. Only if you enjoy the outdoors should you go here.

You would have to cross the Raimatang River’s riverbed to get to Raimatang. Additionally, you will be able to view elephants in the forest next to the settlement and an abundance of vibrant butterflies. At times, you can see countless butterflies gathered together in a forest or on a riverbed.

Definitely a visual delight!
Since Raimatang is a newer tourist destination, the amenities are modest. In the village, you can stay in modest eco-resorts that offer little amenities and meals.
